IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING THE LIGHT SWITCH ON EVENT - 24 NOVEMBER
It is with sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of tomorrow's Christmas Market, in consideration of health and safety concerns.
Despite our anticipation for improved weather conditions by tomorrow afternoon,
it seems unlikely that the rain and winds will subside significantly.
Therefore, we have decided to cancel the market and instead host a brief event
under the Market House. This gathering will include a limited number of
entertainers and will focus on the ceremonial lighting of the lights.
We are currently refining a reduced programme of entertainment and will share
more information as soon as it is finalized. Please stay tuned to our social
media channels for the latest updates.
We would like to extend an invitation for you to join us at the revised
schedule of events, which we expect to begin at 3.30 pm tomorrow (Sunday, 24
November), leading up to the lights switch-on at 5.00 pm.
If you would like any further information please contact the Clerk, Angela Price on 07734966926 or at clerk@ledburtowncouncil.gov.uk

John Masefield Working Party
Born in Ledbury on 1 June 1878, John Masefield’s challenging childhood and deep connection to the town profoundly influenced his poetry. Appointed British Poet Laureate in 1930, he held the post for nearly 40 years.
Ledbury Town Council is launching an exciting project to celebrate Masefield’s legacy and connect the community with his work. This initiative includes community engagement sessions, creating a memorial brief, and commissioning artists for a tribute by 2028.
