Born in Ledbury in 1957 I have lived in the town all my life. I was educated at what is now the John Masefield High School and then working from the age of 16 in the family owned electrical shop until we closed in late 2011.
I have been a member (on and off) of Ledbury Town Council since 1996 achieving the distinction of being the Deputy Mayor as well as long term chairman of the Planning & Economic Development Committee and also the Environment & Leisure Committee.
During my time as a councillor I have come to better understand what Ledbury's residents expect from both Ledbury Town Council and also the Herefordshire Council, I have always made it known that I am available to any resident at any time if they have a problem or an issue they want to take up.
Being a councillor is a privilege and as such I endeavour to represent local residents at every level. I am not afraid to speak my mind which has on occasions caused some misgivings, but my sometimes unorthodox approach to issues has often produced results sometimes to the annoyance of my peers.
