Welcome to Ledbury Town Council. Here you can find out about what we do and how we do it. Ledbury aims to be a values based community which also keeps alive its history and traditions.

John Masefield Working Party
Born in Ledbury on 1 June 1878, John Masefield’s challenging childhood and deep connection to the town profoundly influenced his poetry. Appointed British Poet Laureate in 1930, he held the post for nearly 40 years.
Ledbury Town Council is launching an exciting project to celebrate Masefield’s legacy and connect the community with his work. This initiative includes community engagement sessions, creating a memorial brief, and commissioning artists for a tribute by 2028.
