Ledbury Town Council - Public Notice 

At an extraordinary meeting of Ledbury Town Council on 19 March 2020 Ledbury Town Council considered how best to proceed due to the emergence of Covid 19.

At that meeting they took the unprecedented decision to cease all Council and Committee Meetings until the end of May 2020 at which time they will review the situation.   These meetings will include the following:

Viaduct Parish Meeting                                                    – Monday, 23 March

Youth Parish Meeting                                                       – Wednesday, 25 March

Finance, Policy & General Purposes Committee          – 26 March

Climate Emergency Working Party                                 – 1 April

Full Council                                                                        – 2 April

Economic Development & Planning Committee            – 9 April

NDP Working Party                                                           – 20 April

Annual Town Meeting                                                       – 30 April

Annual Council Meeting                                                    – 14 May

 

It was also agreed, with great sadness, that the VE Day Celebrations planned for Friday, 8 May, should also be cancelled.  Also, the Co-option of new councillors and the Annual Distinguished Citizen Awards will also be postponed, until such time the Council is in a position to resume public meetings safely.

We are currently waiting to hear from the Planning Inspectorate as to whether the Viaduct Housing Development Appeal will be postponed and as soon as we hear we will provide an update.

In order to reduce the risk to residents and staff a decision was taken earlier this week to close the Council reception desk to the public. However, staff are still working, and it is possible to contact the Clerk and Deputy Clerk and the office via telephone and email as below and the Clerk is available by appointment.

Dog Poo bags are still available from Ledbury News and we have taken the decision not to charge for them whilst this is the case.

To avoid disruption to the provision of food vouchers to those in need with have made alternative arrangements and should you find yourself in need of food vouchers to use at the Food Bank please contact Councillor Knight on 07421728007/07579063559 or at dknight@ledburytowncouncil.gov.uk
